– We solved the customer’s challenge in a way that brought significant cost savings and improved delivery reliability,” says Jukka Anttila, Sales Manager at Elgood Oy, enthusiastically.

This is a typical customer story of where Elgood is at its strongest and what it wants to be for its customers 🤗 🤝

– Our mission is to help our customers’ product development and sourcing with the component solutions and product development support we represent, CEO Timo Niinimaki specifies.

Elgood Oy is an electronics specialist and component supplier established in 1997. In the early years the company was basically a component supplier, but over the years the company has evolved to supply more and more customised products in response to market needs. 🪄

– Today, more than 60% of our sales are just such customised products,” says Anttila.

– If we used to supply a customer with a simple wiring harness, for example, we now want to understand what it is used for and whether we could perhaps supply the customer with a more suitable, or even more cost-effective, package.

As an example, Anttila tells of a customer project where Elgood Oy has supplied sophisticated components for a customer’s application. However, the customer faced challenges in type approval testing because the package did not pass all the required tests.

Elgood’s Product Development Manager Mikko Karvinen went through the challenge with the customer’s product development, and as a result we agreed to design and manufacture a custom component that solved the problem 💡

Not only did the customer’s product become functional, but the cost of the new solution was also to the customer’s benefit, and the previously plaguing availability challenges for the required product were eliminated ✅

– This is a great example of where we are strong! We want to understand our customers’ operations and problems so that we can help them succeed,” says Anttila.
